This is the Gordon Snarr Farm located between Hwy 75 and the Red River about 3 miles north of the town of Morris, MB.
March 24, 2010 - Looking straight E from the back of the dike. Despite the snow falling and the temp dropping, the water keeps on coming!
March 23, 2010 - Looking straight E from the back of the dike. The coulee "puddles" are now one and not only has the flat begun to fill but it's filling via the culvert and across the lowest part of the field road. A big difference in one day!
March 22, 2010 - Looking E from the back of the dike. The coulee "puddles" are much larger and the water flowing through the culvert under the road has reversed course to flow from the pond to the flat. At this rate there will be noticable water in the flat tomorrow. And yes that is a dog on the road!
March 22, 2010 - Looking NE from the back of our dike to get a better view of the coulee "puddles". You can also see the plate that is ready to swing down and be bolted into place to shut off our dike's only culvert.
March 22, 2010 - Still looking straight E but down the road near the flat and pond. Gord checks out the water flowing in the culvert and yes it's flowing backwards!
March 21, 2010 - Looking E from the back of our dike. The coulee is just starting to "puddle", as Gord calls it, as water backs up it from the Red River which is on the other side of the tree line at the top of the pic. Soon it will backup through the old pond and rush over and under(culvert) the road to fill the flat. Today it was still flowing as normal from the flat to the pond.
